FINRA Sanctions & Allegations of Misconduct

FINRA fined $5,000 and suspended Benard Wayne Gann (CRD #2459622) from Tyler, Texas of LPL FINANCIAL LLC for placing an unauthorized trade in a customer’s account. Moreover, this transaction followed a conversation between Gann and his son in which his son suggested the transaction to Gann. In addition, Gann failed to contact the customer to obtain her authorization before placing the trade in her account. The suspension was in effect from July 6, 2020, through August 14, 2020.
