FINRA Sanctions & Allegations of Misconduct

FINRA fined $10,000 and suspended Alexander Jon James (CRD #5630825) from Royal Palm Beach, Florida of ALLSTATE FINANCIAL SERVICES, LLC for engaging in an outside business activity without providing prior written notice to his member firm. In addition, James and two other individuals, who were not associated with any member firms, formed and incorporated a company that charged users a monthly subscription fee for access to a website that subscribers could use to seek funding for various projects or ventures. The suspension is in effect from April 6, 2020, through April 5, 2021.

The brokerage firms are responsible for ensuring that their brokers are trading fairly, ethically and in the best interest of their clients.
