Investor Alert: Jesse Gil III was named in a FINRA complaint alleging that he converted approximately $2,500 from an 82-year-old widow

FINRA Sanctions & Allegations of Misconduct

FINRA issued Jesse Gil III (CRD #5188650) located Corpus Christi, Texas for FINRA complaint alleging that he converted approximately $2,500 from an 82-year-old widow and former bank customer to whom he was providing financial advice away from his member firm. In addition, Gil intentionally used money from the customer’s savings account to make a payment of approximately $738 to pay for some of those credit card expenses. Moreover, the complaint alleges that Gil failed to provide a full and complete response to a request by FINRA for information and documents after it commenced an investigation into the circumstances of his termination from his firm.

Investors Have the Right to Recover Their Losses

When investments are sold by brokerage firms licensed by FINRA, they are subject to the laws that FINRA enforces. The brokerage firms are responsible for ensuring that their brokers are trading fairly, ethically and in the best interest of their clients. Ideally, they would accomplish this through careful supervision. Unfortunately, too often this supervision has been inadequate to fully protect investors. If you purchased any investments through a representative of a registered brokerage firm and suffered losses through negligence or fraud, it immediately puts the brokerage firm at fault for failing to supervise their broker. FINRA law then dictates that you can hold the firm legally liable to recover your damages.
