FINRA fined $10,000 and suspended Frederic Thomas O’Hara (CRD #351490) from Stuart, Florida of SAGEPOINT FINANCIAL, INC. for engaging in outside business activity by serving as an outside director of a private company without providing prior written notice to his member firms. Moreover, O’Hara participated in private securities transactions in the company’s shares totaling $63,000, including his own $10,000 purchase, without providing his firms with prior written notice. The suspension is in effect from March 16, 2020, through December 15, 2020.
